Women Shooters

My wife and I would love to see more ladies at the range. In the interest of promoting the sport, here is an introductory video. Also in the interest of keeping ladies interested, please, please, please wear a shooting shirt or vest with some padding.

Kari and I were at a public range once where some guy was attempting to show his female companion how to shoot trap. It was awful and it really bothered me. A condescending attitude coupled with yelling and some f-bombs helps me recall a saying I have: The fastest way to create an experience is to create a bad one. Gee, I wonder if she'll be back to the range?

Enjoy the introductory video.

Winchester Ammunition

Winchester Ammunition: I like Winchester ammo, especially the cheap stuff I buy at Walmart. I've tried several different brands and loads in my shotguns and the Winchester seems to pattern the best.

Anyway, in my search to learn the maximum range for a factory target load I went to Winchester's website. Overall, a very nice site. It runs fast and is very informative...except for answering my question.

No problem, right? I'll just contact them. Wrong! Nowhere on the site is there any way for me to contact them with my question. To the people at Winchester, I love you so, but this is a big website mistake. You NEED to have a way to be contacted with questions from customers...especially loyal ones.

Now I checked the competitions' websites too. Both Remington and Federal have links for contacting them. So why not Winchester? I can only speculate.

That being said, if a way to contact the company is added to the website, the way to guarantee messing it up would be to have an outside service respond to questions.

So why do I care about the maximum range of a 12 gauge target load? For safety. Each year I go shooting at my cousin's place in Indiana. He has plenty of property, but I want to know how far we're reaching out when shooting. (There are neighbors and I want to reassure my cousin.) I could calculate it myself, and maybe I'll have to, but I'd rather ask the experts.

Maybe I need to ask someone at Olin how to contact someone at Winchester? Why not just contact Winchester through their website?
